Congratulations to Grant, Kevin Henley, Warren, Chuck (All made $$$$) and many other SOAS's (Randy, Jerome, McCleary, Goosmann, Breshears, Hafner, Croucher, Ball, Hylton, Reed Sr, Guined, etc) who made the PBA TQR board look like a who's who in SOAS. Specifically-congratulations to Grant Benton for winning the spot to bowl on THURSDAY! Great Bowling! To Kevin and Warren ALSO great bowling! Just in case somebody hasn't heard the news both Kevin and Warren were in the TOP 10 of the TQR and were BOTH ONE shot away from taking the spot themselves. So everyone represented well for the SOAS. My hat is off to Ric Donnelly and his staff as well as the volunteers. words cant describe how much work it takes to host a PBA event, and his staff made it look easy. its exciting to have the fans there watching, even if you did bowl a 139. To be a part of this event is PRICELESS, because its not every day you can have lunch with Duke, walter Ray, Bohn, Barnes, Weber, smith, Mallot, and the rest of the Pros. My Best moment was watching RHINO bowl and talking to him after the event. Its amazing how much confidence and how well these guys represent the company that they work for......PBA
Great Bowling GRANT, Two-hander-Henley-Chuck-Tinsley......you guys made the SOAS look great.....Hylton

Big congrats to Grant on winning the spot and everyone else that cashed. It's always great to have the opportunity to bowl in an event like this. Even when I was sick and throwing up during games 2-5 . at least the restrooms were on the same end of the center I was on. Also big thanks to Ric Donnelly and his staff. They are great, that's why Medford is considered the best stop on the tour.

Congrats to all who had the sack and the $$$ to bowl. As usual I had a much better time than my scores would indicate. In fact I had a blast as usual in the South! I had great guys to cross with and great guys around me. Well, all except for that one Pro who barked at me for jumping him. I just figured that if you are not ready when it is your turn and I am, you get jumped! ;D I hope Kevin C is feeling better after the Butt Reaming he took in qualifying. I have never seen so many 7 pins stand on light shakers and good pocket hits in my life. He should have easily been in the top 9 with any kind of carry at all! Still he never let it get him down to the point where he looked like he wasn't enjoying himself...which is more than I can say for some! I also got to enjoy some conversation with Grant after the Q and what a nice dude this guy is. He kinda talks funny though Anyhoos, I was surprised to hear that he has only taken this game seriously for a short time now. What a talent this guy is and I expect that he will be taking everyones $$$ for some time to come especially if his Boss would get him some time off for practice Finally a Great Job to Rick D and the crew. I sure hope you guys can find a way to keep the stop coming back year after year. I know it is a challenge but you guys do it so well and I know the bowler and fans in the area thank you for it! 24k

Hats off to all SOAS that bowled. Thanks for all the compliments as well. I wish I could have performed better on thursday, but man...those lanes went through a completely different transition. Special thanks for Dave, who came down thursday and helped calm me down. It's a different world out there when your ball selection is very limited. Getting to bowl with Rhino, Tommy Jones, Steve Jaros, Mike Wolfe, and Doug Kent was truly a lifetime experience.
A HUGE thanks to Rick and his employees at Lava. They really know how to treat "bowlers." I wish I could say that for other centers. It's just hard to beet a super clean facility and smiling faces behind the counters. Not along with pins that don't sound like a duck's fart when you hit high flush either! Someday I hope to try again. This time, with a little more experience.
