The next Southern Oregon All Stars tournament will be at Roxy Ann Lanes on December 9th.
Our sponsors for the tournament are Edward Jones Investments, AirServ Heating & Air Conditioning, and Roxy Ann Lanes - Thank you to Tom Cook, Greg Hafner, and Lela Larkin.
Our host proprietor Lela Larkin has given us a discount on lineage for this event so that we can try something with entries that we feel will lead to more bowlers participating. For this event we will be offering a Recruiters Special of two bowlers for a $120 entry as long as one of the bowlers has yet to bowl this season. We hope by lowering the cost of the entry fee and encouraging all bowlers to ask their friends to come bowl with them, that we can get a good turnout for this tournament.
Roxy Ann Lanes has also decided to run a pair of 2 game sweepers on Saturday evening ($20 entry to each) for all interested bowlers who would like to bowl the day before the SOAS tournament.
One last item on this tournament; it is our first 2 squad tournament of the season. A squad will start practice at 8:00 AM and B squad will start practice at 10:30 AM. B squad is limited to the first 48 bowlers who sign up, so if you need B squad, please send your entry asap or sign up through the website.
Thanks, Jason

We currentlty have 29 bowlers signed up for B squad (19 spots left) and 19 bowlers signed up for A squad (we will go up to 60 bowlers for A squad if we need to, but that is probably not very likely). I have updated the entry list to include everyone who has signed up either at Emerald Lanes or online on either this thread or the online entry thread. Any bowlers who will be using the recruiter special will need to note the name of BOTH bowlers on their entry form if they mail it, or they will need to let me know by posting both bowlers with the recruiter & recruitee on the message board or through an email (mccleary@soallstars.com)
Thanks, Jason

Hey Victor, Good to see you bowling again! Are you coming over Sunday AM or on Saturday night? I will hold a B squad spot for you if you are coming Sunday, but if you are coming over Saturday and bowling the sweepers, I will put you down for A squad. Let me know.
Thanks, Jason

QUICK UPDATE - We currently have only 9 spots left on B squad (barring any last minute changes). Total entries are at 59. Out of the 59 entries, 22 bowlers (11 pairs) have taken advantage of the recruiters special. I will post the recruiter teams (eligible for a recruiter & recruitee doubles sidepot) within the next couple of days.
Thanks, Jason

I was wondering if they were going to put the shot out the night before the tournament during sweeper. What time is the sweeper..

The sweepers are on Saturday night (December 8th) at 5:00 & 7:00 PM. I am not sure if they will use the same shot as Sunday or not, Roxy Ann has not announced that (and they may not - I am not sure of their plans) The entry fee for each sweeper is $20. I am sure they will run a high game pot, but I am not sure if they will run 2 game brackets or not. Anyone can call Roxy Ann Lanes for details (541) 772-7171. Ask for Bill Brickey.
Thanks, Jason

Hello All, We will be using the same pattern Saturday and Sunday. It is a variation of our house shot (One more unit of oil, 2 to 2). Please don't worry the Masters pattern has been removed from the oiler!!! As Jason mentioned we will be running two 2 game sweepers. #1 at 5:00 #2 at 7:00Sweepers $20.00 and an optional $5.00 High game pot. (Sorry no 2 game brackets for the sweepers) The sweepers are open to all bowlers!!! Sunday we will have Breakfast and lunch specials!!!!! ;D ;D Ice cold beer and for the ones that bowl good and straight shots for the unlucky ones will be available. ;D ;D Also Lela would like to bring back a tradition that Roy started years ago. Any bowler scheduled to bowl in the SOAS event can practice the week before the event for $1.00 per game when lanes are available!!!!I hope this tradition can fallowed by all other host centers of the SOAS in the future and we as bowlers can come out and support them by participating in their events. If anyone has questions please contact Jason or myself, Bill Brickey Roxy Ann Lanes 772-7171

J Mac, I am about 99% sure I am coming over Saturday afternoon, I want to bowl those sweepers... If I can get someone from Bend to make the overnighter with me, I am going on Saturday... Should be able to get someone to pony up with me... How much is the fine if you don't have a shirt with your name on it

You don't have any more shirts with your name on them? What did you do, lose them in the wash? ;D If you can't get a name shirt in time, please make sure you at least have a collared shirt and slacks. I will mark you down for A squad for now, let me know if you need to change it.
Thanks, Jason
