;D In case you hadn't heard Jason McCleary won the S.O.Masters today. Trust me that is quite an honor. The shot was brutal Bill Brickey outdid himself on this one. Also the field this year was very tough plus an overall entry of about 116 or so. FYI: second Nathan McSwain Third Kevin Croucher. Fourth Bob Korth. Great job as usual Bill a very well run tournament and done with class. If you did not bowl this one be sure and enter next year. Bill makes everyone feel important. There was also a great pro am on Friday and the early sneak peek 2 gamer was a great idea. Bob K. ;D

Great bowling Jason and everyone else that bowled today. That was definitely an intense experience to say the least. This was one of the most organized and well ran tournaments I have ever bowled in. Everything was on time and I love the free water that was available for the bowlers. I probably drank my entry fee worth of water during the weekend.

Thanks guys, it was definately my biggest bowling moment, winning that tournament against that field on that shot - I wouldn't of even dreamed that I could pull it off.
I want to say congrats to Nate for a great tournament also, I am positive his first big win in SOAS or the Masters is right around the corner. Great bowling to all of the finalists who toughed it out on that shot against a very large and talented field.
Lastly, I would like to say thank you to a few people -
To: Bill Brickey for all his hard work making such a great tournament happen and for being a good friend and mentor throughout all these years.
To: Lela Larkin for being such a great host for the tournament
To: Matt Eilenberger and Gerrin Beck of Church Roofing and to all the other sponsors for their support that contribute greatly to make the SO Masters such a great tournament.
and lastly to Brunswick for making the PEARL SAPHIRE ZONE 15 years ago - where would I be without that ball ;D

Great bowling, Jason! Congratulations also to Bill and Lela for putting on another successful "major." Just wish I could have been there.

WOW!! Hylton and Nate, doubles partners now that's a crowd. On a serious note tell Lela thanks the next time you see her. She would not allow any one to bowl in the house till the tournament was over. Now I don't know of any other place we bowl that would give that kind of respect. Lela you didn't have to do it but it was a nice thing to do. She left 22 lanes open for an hour and a half to make about $20 bucks. Lela knows what true tournament bowling is about. BOB K.

Hello to all,
I would like to send out a BIG thanks to all of the sponsors and participants!!!! We have been very lucky to get the backing from so many local sponsors (30+). For the 9th straight year the junior bowlers have bowled the Pro-am for FREE. We had over 70 Senior Pro-am bowlers. The “NEW” Brunswick Sneak Peek was a success with 49 entries. We also set a new record in the main event at 116. With this awesome participation from the bowlers we keep the sponsors happy. THANK YOU TO THE ABOVE!!!
Also this tournament would not happen if it wasn’t for three awesome women!!! Crystal, Marla & Riki. These women have put up with me year after year, work there butts off and come back for more. THEY ARE TRULY AMAZING WOMEN!!!
Thank you to Brunswick and Dexter!!! With their support we were able to do a few new things. In the Senior Pro-am the top male and female bowlers each won a Brunswick ball of choice, as well as cash. In the junior division we also gave away two balls and trouphy's. Each junior bowler received one raffle ticket FREE and was allowed to purchase one more for $1.00.(There were two separate raffles one for the boys and one for the girls). We also ran two raffles prior to the S.O Masters in which we gave away two Brunswick balls and two pairs of Dexter shoes which raised over $1000.00 for our junior program. They also sponsored the Friday night 2 game sweeper with the double up program. They doubled everyone’s check that used Brunswick equipment. THANK YOU!!!
Congratulations to,
Every bowler that was able to grind it through Saturday’s qualifying and make the overnight cut (-186, 179 avg.).
Kevin Croucher, who led qualifying on Saturday, averaging an amazing 202, +18 (201, 214, 218, 190, 225, 211, 188, 174 & 197) and finished 3rd overall.
Brian Sendelbach, who shot an incredible 685 in Saturday night’s block (easily the high 3 game block of the tournament).
Pattie Cochran, the only lady to make the overnight cut this year.
Randy Cochran, who had a gritty performance & advanced deep into the tournament on Sunday while fighting an ailing back.
Nate McSwain, who finished 2nd in his first S.O. Masters and showed a great amount of character in doing so. He is a very fine young man!
AND TO JASON McCLEARY, the “2007 S.O. Masters Champion”. I have been fortunate to know Jason since his first days of bowling at Medford Lanes. He has always been a good friend and class act!!! Now he is a husband and father and does not bowl as much as he used to but has still been able to raise the level of his game. This last weekend he was able to overcome one of the strongest fields the Masters has ever seen. The final two matches were some of the finest bowling that you’ll ever see, on lane conditions that the combined field averaged under 165 and it took an average of 179 to cash, Jason was able to shoot 222 & 198(420) vs. Nate’s 204 & 180(384) in the championship match. Congratulation Jason, Next year I will be proud to raise your banner and announce you as the “2007 Masters Champion”!!!!
Once again congratulation and thank you to all, Bill Brickey
