I have a question on the banquet. According to the rules, part of the membership fee goes to the banquet which usually cost around $15.00. As a person who usually doesn’t cash, but still supports SOAS, what is going to happen to the projected banquet money? I believe it’s unfair to put it into the finals at this point in the season. This should have been handled during the off season by the board and the membership fee distribution should have been set before the first tournament. Right now there are people who fully expect a banquet ticket at the end of the year because that is the way the rules stated it at the beginning of the season. Could there be a possible refund. I’m just wondering what the boards thoughts are on this issue.

Squatch Good question. Im guessing that when the final vote happens we will cross that bridge then as it my get voted to have the banquet. But as a member who proabably will bowl enough tourneys to qualify for the grand finals you would have a chance at that cash just as everyone else who is comitted to the organization. I myself cash once maybe twice a year and would love to have one day in the sun and try to make up for losses througout the year. Although being on the team that won nationals more than likely im all dried up.

What I'm saying is that a person who supports SOAS has only catched once in 4 or 5 years and it was 14th at the doubles North Bend tournament, putting it into the finals this year is unfair, if you follow the rules.
