Well another tournament in the books, 1 more to go before Grand Finals.
A great weekend of bowling in North Bend, as usual Saturday started with 2 Pro Am"s which are always fun for us and the local bowlers who come out for the 9 pin No Tap tournament sponsored by the Mill Casino.
Had 77 bowlers come out for 2 squads of qualifying 1 Saturday afternoon and 1 Sunday morning. At the end of 5 games for both squads it was Bends Bryan Meeker as top qualifier at +201 with last into match play Greg Hafner at +93 and last chek to Keith Kilgore at +92.
Match play was a pretty tough battle for all as it was close all the way as to who was going to make the top 5 stepladder, but in the end it was Greg Hafner on top at +340 followed by Phil Nelson +304, Rick Snead +259, Frank Dietz +221, Scott Helstowski at +220.
Stepladder;
Dietz deg Helstowski 183-182
Dietz def Snead 224-195
Dietz def Nelson 238-180
Dietz def Hafner 255-213
Congratulations to Frank Dietz on his first SOBA title, great bowling this weekend.
