Well another great season of bowling comes to an end. This past weekend at Lava Lanes Medford was our Grand finals .
It started Saturday morning with a qualifying squad to move 8 people over and join the top 16 to begin 18 games of match play. The first 6 games was on a pattern Route 66 45' in length, some made it look easy and others like myself made it look tough.
Second game out Warren Crawford rolled a perfect 300 against Besaw and at the end of the day Crawford had a good lead. Sunday's first 6 games were on the WTBA Los Angeles 36' in length and the scores came down a little, towards the end some made it look easy like Rick Snead who rolled the last 11 in position round 290. The final pattern was the 2013 USBC Womens' Championship 40' in length and this was just a matter if you could carry.
In the end after 18 games it was Crawford followed by Helstowski and Snead. Great bowling to all and congratulations to Warren Crawford on winning 1st place and $1000.
There were 2 other 300 Saturday, Jay Baker in the qualifying round and Damon Cochran in the second chance tournament
Thanks to all who bowled this year, making our average bowlers at each stop 72+.
Thanks to our sponsors for their dedication to our club and our sport;
Ebonite International for the Columbia Balls they provide us (Mike Snellbaker), Caveman Bowl high woman out of the money (Kevin Croucher), Man Cave Pro Shop (Garret Ball), Radar Toys (Richard Goosman) Bi-Mart for our stop in Eugene.
Thank you to the board for all the hard work you put in, as for this is what keeps us going.
Patti and Trina, you 2 do such an amazing job at all the stops and for all you do away from the tournaments you make us proud.
And again to all who bowled this year, we appreciate your time and travels and hope to see you all next year and hopefully some more new faces.
I can tell you our first tournament is Aug 30th at Hanscams, see you there.
