Well another year has come to a close this past weekend as Grand finals were held in Grants Pass at Caveman Bowl. We had 33 bowlers show up for the qualifying squad trying to land on of the 8 spots advancing to the top 24. This was a very high scoring 5 games as Rick Guined started things off with a perfect game and about 4 others at 279 or better, but in the end the top 8 for this block were James Cox +257, Rick Guined +230, Scott Lathrom +204, Tyger Miller +200, Ben Smith +188, Randy Cochran +166, Toby Cundell +158 and Michelle Smith at +143.
Michelle is the 1st female to make the top 24 in Grand Finals very good bowling Michelle.
The 1st block of 18 games match play was on Caveman's 2014 house shot and after 6 games it was Joe Lipan leading the field at +373.The 2nd 6 games were on the USBC Blue 3 and at the end of that and 12 games in the books it was Rick Snead at +669 leading the field by 149. The 3rd 6 games was on the USBC White 3 and at the end of that block and 18 games complete it was Rick Snead in a runaway at +1047 341 pins ahead of 2nd place Phil Nelson and 346 pins ahead of 3rd place Tyger Miller (Jr. Bowler) .
Congratulations to Rick Snead as you bowled very well all season.
For the rest of the field see Randy's post when he updates it.
The 2nd chance tournament was won By Gary Lueker $200
